This policy applies to anyone using a website, hosting, email, network or managed service that ANSR Tech provides or operates, including our clients and their staff, contractors and website visitors. It protects you, our other clients and the internet at large. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. Illegal and harmful content
You must not use our services to store, publish, send or link to material that:
- is illegal in Australia, or is restricted or prohibited material under the Online Safety Act 2021 (Cth), including child sexual exploitation material, which we will report to authorities;
- infringes copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property;
- is defamatory, harassing, threatening or promotes violence or hatred against people because of a protected attribute;
- is misleading or deceptive, including fake reviews, scam offers and impersonation of other people or businesses; or
- collects personal information without lawful authority or proper notice.
2. Security and network abuse
You must not:
- host or distribute malware, phishing pages or credential-harvesting forms;
- attempt unauthorised access to any system, account or data, ours or anyone else’s;
- run port scans, vulnerability scans, denial-of-service attacks or load tests against systems you don’t own or haven’t been authorised to test (to test our systems, see our vulnerability disclosure policy);
- operate open mail relays, open proxies or anonymising services;
- share accounts, or disable or bypass security controls we put in place, such as multi-factor authentication; or
- run cryptocurrency mining or other processes that consume resources unrelated to the agreed service.
3. Email and messaging
Commercial messages sent through our services must comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). They must be sent with consent, clearly identify the sender, and include a working unsubscribe option. You must not send bulk unsolicited email or use purchased or harvested lists. Telemarketing must comply with the Do Not Call Register Act 2006 (Cth).
4. Fair use of resources
Shared hosting is shared. Your use must stay within the resources described in your service, and must not degrade service for others. We will talk to you before taking action over resource use, unless the impact is urgent.
5. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for activity on accounts we provide to you, for keeping your passwords secure, and for telling us promptly if you suspect an account has been compromised. You are also responsible for the content you or your users upload to sites we host.
6. What we do about breaches
If we become aware of a breach of this policy, we may, in proportion to the risk:
- contact you and ask you to fix it;
- remove or disable access to the material;
- suspend the affected service until the issue is resolved; and
- for serious or repeated breaches, end the service under our Terms of Service.
Where there is an immediate risk to people, data or our platform, we may act first and tell you as soon as possible afterwards. We comply with lawful requests and notices from the eSafety Commissioner, law enforcement and courts, including removal notices, and we may report illegal activity to the relevant authorities.
7. Reporting abuse
To report abuse involving a service we operate, email info@ansrtech.com.au with “Abuse report” in the subject and include the address involved, what you observed and when. We review reports promptly.
