AI is part of what we offer and part of how we work. This page explains the commitments we make when we use it, in our own business and in the solutions we build for clients. They are guided by the Australian Government’s Guidance for AI Adoption and Australia’s AI Ethics Principles.
1. How we use AI
- In our own work, we use AI tools to help draft code, documentation and content, and to analyse technical problems. People review, test and remain accountable for everything we deliver.
- In client solutions, we build automations, assistants and reporting tools that use AI models from established providers. Each one is scoped and agreed with the client in writing.
2. Our commitments
Clear accountability
We agree with each client who is responsible for an AI solution on each side, and we document what it does and what data it uses.
Your data stays under your control
We don’t enter client confidential or personal information into an AI tool unless the client has approved it for that purpose and the tool’s terms protect it. Where providers offer it, we use business-grade services that don’t train their models on customer data. We tell clients which providers are used and where data is processed, including when that is outside Australia.
Assess the impact first
Before building, we consider who the solution could affect and what could go wrong, including privacy, accuracy, bias and security risks, and we design controls in proportion to them.
People stay in control
AI output can be wrong. We design solutions so that a person reviews outputs before they lead to significant consequences, and so the system can be paused or overridden. We don’t build systems that make decisions with significant effects on individuals without meaningful human oversight.
Test and monitor
We test solutions before they go live, and agree with the client how they will be monitored afterwards.
Be transparent
We tell people when they are interacting with an AI system, such as a chat assistant, and we help clients meet their own disclosure obligations, including the Privacy Act’s automated decision-making transparency requirements that apply from 10 December 2026.
3. What we won’t do
- Use AI to create fake reviews, testimonials or misleading content.
- Present AI-generated material as the work of a real person who didn’t create it.
- Build systems designed to deceive, manipulate or unlawfully surveil people.
- Make claims about what an AI solution can do that we can’t support.
4. Questions
If you have a question or concern about how we use AI, email info@ansrtech.com.au. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
